Bardia national park in Nepal that is established in1988 as royal Bardia national park. The total park area has covered 968 km2 .It is situated in the in the mid-Far Western Terai. This is the largest national park in Nepal. An area of 368 km² (142 sq mi) was set aside as Royal Hunting Reserve in 1969 and gazette as Royal Karnali Wildlife Reserve in 1976. In 1982, it was proclaimed as Royal Bardia Wildlife Reserve and extended to include the Babai River Valley in 1984. Finally in 1988, the protected area was gazette as national park.

The Bardia national park has huge variety and diversity of life inside, with at least 150 species of reptiles and fish, over 400 species of birds and 48 different mammals having been recorded. Approximately 70% of the forest consists are giant Sal trees with a mixture of soaring grassland and mix type reverie forest. Bardia national park is home of endangered animal such as Rhinoceros , Wild elephant , Tiger , Swamp deer , Black buck , Gharial crocodile , Marsh mugger crocodile , Gangetic dolphin. It is also the home of endangered birds such as Bengal florican, Sliver-eared mesia , Sarus crane , Lesser florican . More than 30 different mammals, over 250 species of birds and many snakes, lizards and fish have been recorded in the park’s forests.

Transportation access for Bardia national park is easy. There are regular flights from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, and road transportation from Nepalgunj is accessible to Bardia. From Kathmandu and Pokhara by bus approximately 12 hour journey.

Day 01: Drive to Bardia from Kathmandu, your arrival at Bardia .you can also take flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj airport. Hotel staff will receive you there. You will be transferred to resort where you will be offered refreshment. After having lunch, you can go for village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village, where you will learn more about the lifestyle of tharus. Visit sunset views point of Karnali river bank and after amazing sunset view back to the camp site, know about flora & fauna and other features of the National park.

Day 2: After wakeup call serve you tea-coffee and you can go for elephant safari for around 2 hours. After breakfast prepare for jungle walk, it is an excellent opportunity to watching wild boar, monkey, leopard, four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros and Royal Bengal tiger and different types of small animals and birds. In the evening back to camp side and relax.

Day 3: After serving you a hot drink in morning, time for bird watching tour to see many deferent kind of birds both endemic and some of them are migrated inside the national park. After that, have a breakfast and pack the baggage to transfer to the bus park/airport.
