Tamang Heritage Trek is an fulfilling trek  into the amid green valleys and snow-capped mountains of Himalaya that offers travelers a close interaction with  Tamang people who are Nepalese mountain dwellers of the Langtang region and culturally rich in trail . Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

If it’s a clear day when you are flying into Kathmandu, then your tour begins right from the skies itself. The sights from the windows of our jet shows us glimmering snow-capped mountain peaks spread out down below us, giving us the first thrills of our just begun vacation, sparking off a whole reaction of unforgettable experiences that stay with us for some time to come. As soon as your plane hits the tarmac of Tribhuwan International Airport, Top of the World Adventures offices representative and driver will be on standby to meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for the 11 days trek in Nepal to Tamang. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel, and after going to our rooms and refreshing ourselves we will be briefed about our daily activities. The rest of your time is free to move around the neighborhood and get familiar with your surroundings before you go on 9 days adventurous trekking in Nepal with top of the world adventure.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 8-9 hours

After an early breakfast,  We leave Kathmandu in the morning in Top of the World Adventure’s  private jeep or land cruiser for Syabrubesi. A village which is also a starting point for treks into the Langtang valley. Our journey will be on a winding road through frequent switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. We continue until we descend to the small village of Syabrubesi, the starting point of our trek. We will stay overnight in  Syabrubesi.

Day 3: Start of Trek : Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,200m/7,217ft.): 5 hours

Our trek starts from today. From Syabrubesi, we hike across the Goljung Village enjoying views of the Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, Langtang Lirung and others. Gatlang is a village in transition, a small village on the hillside with traditional and weathered stone houses having wooden roofs and carved doors and windows. We will stay overnight at Gatlang.

Day 4: Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m/8550 ft): 6-7 hours

We begin today’s trek with a descent to Thangbuche, after Thangbuchet the trail heads across a hanging bridge  and soak-in magnificent views of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Ranges along the way. Next, pass by the Chilime Hydropower dam and ascend until Tatopani. The name Tatopani literally means ‘hot water’ in Nepali owing to the natural hot springs there. However, the hot springs are no longer there after the earthquake that hit Nepal in April 2015. Included meals:Breakfast Lunch Dinner


Day 5: Tatopani to Thuman (2,400m/7,874 ft) via Brimdang and Nagthali: 6 hours

Today we trek from Tatopani to Thuman via Brimdang and Nagthali. Passing through the dense alpine forest and a high, open grassland with amazing views of the Himalayas., we reach the small Tamang settlement of Brimdang. From here, it’s a few hours walk uphill until Nagthali hill. Here, we enjoy the mesmerizing views of Langtang, Sanjen,Kerung and Ganesh Himal. Next, trek downhill to the Tamang village of Thuman a village with friendly people who love to sing and dance. Day 6: Thuman to Briddim (2,345m/7,693 ft): 6 hours

Today’s walk begins along a flatter section of trail, then descends to Timure. It follows part of the old trade route to Tibet, and in fact, Tibet is not far away—just three hours’ walk. However, it’s not possible to walk across the border these days, and there’s a heavy police presence along the roads in this area. After lunch, the trail continues to Briddim, another Tamang village, where you’ll stay in a local home for a truly unique experience. All accommodation, lodgings, and food are offered at local houses on a rotational basis, so you can be sure that your stay is benefitting the whole community and not just one or two enterprising families (as is sometimes the case with hotels and lodges).                                                                                                     Included meals:Breakfast Lunch Dinner


Day 7: Briddim to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 3-4 hours

Today is an easy three-hour walk back down to Syabrubesi. Have lunch there, and then spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring. Syabrubesi is a small town, and there are some shops selling local handicrafts made by women, such as colorful aprons and shawls in the local style. Included meals:Breakfast Lunch Dinner


Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu we take a rest at our hotel or stroll in the streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub for some souvenir shopping. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by Top of the world adventure to celebrate the successful completion of our 6 days trekking. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 9: Final departure

Our adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! Top of the world adventure  representative will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On our way home, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal and Say farewell to Nepal and its amazing people, mountains and nature. Until the next time!
