About Annapurna 7 pass trek in Nepal

The Seven Passes Annapurna Trek is a 22-day trek that takes a trekker through seven high passes, four of which are over 5,000 meters. This trek, besides the difficulty of the high passes, provides a mixture of nature and community that is lacking from treks running through villages. You'll drink butter tea with yak herders with the Annapurna Seven Passes Trek, pick Yarsagumba with the locals, win some serious bragging rights and live through some crazy stories.

The Annapurna 7 passes trek is a fairly challenging trail that brings trekkers through some of Nepal's most inaccessible and spectacular landscapes. Annapurna region is known as the Harvest Goddess. This includes Nepal's first and largest nature conservation area. Annapurna Seven Passes Trek has recently emerged as an exciting option for trekkers who want to travel longer in the scenic mountain wilderness. This is a great opportunity to embark on a new route while still fresh and untrammelled along the way, with a combination of camping, homestays and tea houses. This trip is ideal for trekkers who want to be in the mountains and have a longer time. It will be a real taking you past the Kuchurmo pass, Yarcha pass, Meta pass, Phu pass, Nar pass, Kangla pass and the popular Thorong la pass with three passes at over 4600 meters and four at over 5000 meters.

Money and Tipping

Money and Tipping; It is best to bring a mixture of cash and traveler’s checks in a major currency [some currencies are not convertible to NPR]. USD, GBP, EUR are generally fine. Ensure you have also small denominations. As a guideline for baseline spending money we suggest USD 15 - 20 per meal in Kathmandu / Pokhara (if you drink or smoke or plan some major shopping this could be higher). You should exchange enough money into Nepalese Rupees to last the entire time of your trek BEFORE leaving Kathmandu. There are no exchange facilities in the villages along the trail but plenty of money changers in KTM.

Tipping is, Since the 1960s when trekking in Nepal was developed, there has been a tradition for groups and independent visitors to tip their crews at the end of a trek but tips are not included in the trip price.
