Our representatives will pick you up from your location early in the morning and drive you to the Tibet border. Enjoy the morning silence of Kathmandu Valley as you leave it and follow a scenic highway. You will drive past small towns and villages on the way.

Our team will help you complete the border formalities at the border and introduce you to your Tibetan guide. They will accompany you during the rest of the tour. On the way to Kerung, enjoy vast Tibetan plateau views.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast and get ready to leave your hotel. You will drive to Tingri. Follow the Highlands of Tibet, enjoying remarkable landscapes. While driving, you can see mountains like Cho Oyu and Shishapangma.

It will be an incredible ride. Upon reaching Tingri, check in at your hotel. If the sky is clear, you can see the majestic view of Mt. Everest. Later in the evening, explore the local market.

Today, you will drive to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. As you drive from Gyantse, the trail ascends to Kora La Pass (5,010 m). The view of Karola Glacier is excellent from here.

Further, you will drive past Kamba La Pass (4,794 m). The scenery is incredible from here as well. You can see Yamdrok Lake too. Later, during the drive witness the holy Brahmaputra Lake. Upon reaching Lhasa, settle in the hotel. Later, go out to explore the local market.

Altitude sickness

Altitude sickness is one of the concerns while visiting Tibet. During the tour, you will be above 2,500 meters every day. If you are not used to high altitude and go above 2,500 meters, then you may suffer from altitude sickness. Some of its symptoms are headache, vomiting, nausea, dizziness, difficulty in breathing, insomnia, etc.

To avoid it, you have to acclimatize. You can acclimatize by staying hydrated and resting. Likewise, warm soups and teas will help you a lot. We highly recommend that travelers be aware of their bodies and how they feel. If you see the above symptoms, tell your guide and have medicine.
