Your day starts with a local bus journey from Kathmandu to Besisahar, which takes approximately 7-8 hours. In Besisahar, your permits and TIMS will be checked. After the permit check, your guide will arrange a shared jeep to Jagat. Overnight at a local teahouse lodge in Jagat.

A wonderful walk with changing scenery and a range of gradients begins today. From Jagat, you will head across the river and ascend steeply to reach the ridge top high above. You will cross another suspension bridge before continuing up a narrow and beautiful valley, where many spectacular waterfalls flow after rain. Just before reaching Dharapani, you will enter a wide, flat valley with a long, silvery waterfall to the right. Dharapani is connected to the Manaslu trekking trail, offering beautiful views of Manaslu and more. Overnight at a teahouse lodge in Dharapani.

  • Max Altitude: 1860 m
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Accommodation: Teahouse

The journey continues with ups and downs to Chame (2,670 meters). You will find a stone entrance Chorten typical of the Tibetan-influenced villages from here northwards. Visit Bagarchhap (2,160 meters), which offers typical flat-roofed stone houses of local Tibetan design. The trail climbs to Tyanja (2,360 meters) and continues through the forest. From there, the view of the soaring Paungda Danda rock face begins to appear. The trail then climbs to Pisang, which sprawls between 3,200 meters and 3,300 meters. Today, you will continue through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Annapurna Range. The people of this region look after yaks and raise crops for part of the year, besides enjoying special trading rights gained way back in 1784. Leaving Pisang, you will have alternate trails north and south of the Marsyangdi River, which meet up again at Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its airstrip at 3,325 meters, involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru, though there are better views on the trail that follows the northern bank of the river. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden village of Bryanga (3,475 meters) to nearby Manang (3,540 meters). Overnight at a teahouse in Manang.

  • Max Altitude: 3540
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today, you will start the second stage of your trek, as it is more than 3,500 meters. This day's trek is more physically demanding due to crossing uneven, landslide-prone paths. The strong wind and excellent glacier views provide an amazing experience. From this lake, you will witness three major majestic peaks: Tilicho Peak, the Annapurna Range, and Nilgiri Mountain. At the top, you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri Himal, and Thorong Peak. After enjoying the views, descend towards Muktinath. Overnight in Muktinath.

  • Max Altitude: 3760m
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Accommodation: Teahouse

Today, you will leave Muktinath for Jomsom, a town located at an altitude of about 2,720 meters in the Mustang District. It extends over both banks of the Kali Gandaki River, where you will find rocks holy to Hindus called "Saligram." The soaring peaks of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri form a stunning backdrop. As the district headquarters, Jomsom is primarily an administrative and commercial center, with government officials and merchants mingling with the residents, known as Thakali. Nearby is Jomsom Airport, which offers occasional flights to Pokhara. Overnight in Jomsom.
