EBC Heli Tour with Hotel Everest View Stay FAQs

The Everest Base Camp Trek is an iconic journey to the foot of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. It's a trek that combines stunning mountain scenery, Sherpa culture, and the personal challenge of reaching a high-altitude base camp.

The trek is considered moderately challenging to strenuous. While prior trekking experience is beneficial, reasonably fit individuals can complete it. The main challenges are the high altitude, which requires acclimatization, and the daily trekking over uneven, rocky terrain.

The highest altitude reached is Everest Base Camp itself, at 5,364 meters (17,598 feet). Many trekkers also ascend Kala Patthar, a nearby viewpoint, which reaches 5,545 meters (18,192 feet) for even more spectacular views.

While not strictly required, it is highly recommended. You should be comfortable with multi-day hiking and be in good physical condition. If you are new to trekking, we suggest training beforehand to prepare

You should have a good level of cardiovascular fitness. Training that includes hiking, running, or other aerobic exercises is recommended. Being able to hike for 5-7 hours a day over varied terrain is important.

  • Avoid alcohol and smoking.

Yes, you can see Mount Everest from Base Camp, but the view is partially obstructed. For a more panoramic view, most trekkers hike up to Kala Patthar
