About 19 Days EBC Trek with Island Peak Climbing
Everest Base Camp Trek with Island Peak takes you not only to the renowned Base Camp of the highest mountain in the world but also to an exciting adventure of mountain climbing. Island Peak, at the height of 6,189 m, is popular among novice climbers and is used as a preparation for higher mountains like Everest. Though physically demanding, this 19-day EBC trek is less technical and can be done by anyone reasonably fit.
On this trek you will be able to enjoy a lot of popular attractions like a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Sagarmatha National Park) in the green valley of Dudh Koshi, and the famous Namche Bazaar where you will spend two nights for acclimatization. Tengboche, Pheriche and Lobuche are culturally rich Sherpa villages full of Chortens, Mani Walls, museums and amazing views of the Himalayas. Before the awaited Island Peak, you will visit the Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar which is popular among the trekkers as one can get a full base-to-top view of Mount Everest at sunrise or sunset. Finally, the base camp of Island Peak. It was named so because of its position at the centre of the Valley, like an Island in a sea of ice. Its local name is Imja Tse. The hard work is well awarded by a 360-degree panoramic view of mountains like Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Makalu.
