Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. A representative will welcome the participants and arrange a private transfer to the designated hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is available for rest and preparation. A brief orientation about the retreat programme will be provided according to the arrival time.

Visit Patan Durbar Square, one of the Kathmandu Valley’s most important centres of traditional Newari architecture, Buddhist heritage and Hindu culture. After sightseeing and lunch, drive approximately one hour to the monastery area near Pharping. Check in at the monastery at approximately 3:00 PM. 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Mahakala Puja. Participate respectfully in the Mahakala Puja performed by Buddhist monks. Mahakala is traditionally regarded as a powerful protector in Vajrayana Buddhism.
